Revit Sundial

The Revit Factory is back to blogging and they've announced a special preview version of Revit 2015 that everyone can access (if you have a fast enough internet connection).

To quote from the blog:

"To get things started, we’re providing everyone within reach of this blog the opportunity to test drive a hosted release preview of Revit called Sundial.

Autodesk Revit Sundial provides enhancements to Revit that are not currently included in the commercial release. We will be highlighting the many improvements in blog posts over the next days and weeks."

Try out Revit Sundial and see what you think.  Keep in mind that this runs on Autodesk's own servers.  The upshot of this is that the install is tiny but the downside is that you need a decent internet connection (and the distance means that there will naturally be some input lag anyway).

A couple of nifty things that this release previews are a Reveal Constraints visibility control and an additional button in the family editor Load Into Project and Close that does what it says on the box.

Revit Users Canberra Blog

Hello and welcome to the official Revit Users Canberra Blog

Revit Users Canberra (RUC) is a not-for-profit group started by Michael Draper and Michael Dunn in June 2012.

After seeing that there was a lack of support and education in Canberra for Revit users, we started RUC for the purposes of uniting, educating and assisting users. We also aim to promote the efficient use of Revit and encourage collaboration between the three Revit disciplines.

RUC meets on the second last Wednesday night of each month. Our plan is to have a presentation on anything Revit - this can be a tips and tricks presentation, a case study on a project one of our members may have been working on or a tutorial on how do something in Revit.

If you would like to be kept in the loop on when and where our next meeting is, please subscribe by entering your email address in the 'follow us' box on the right of this page or follow us on LinkedIn
